is BIO-KON ?
BIO-KON is a probiotic
technology for biological aquaculture treatment. It
is a synergistic blend of spore forming bacteria with
enzymes, growth stimulant and pathogen reducers, which
helps in displacing harmful bacteria in pond water.
BIO-KON is very effective
in reducing organic waste and toxic gases found in shrimp
ponds. It provides a more bio- secure environment
as it significantly improves pond
water quality, ensures good algal balance and pond colour,
reduces stress and improves shrimp yields.
BENEFITS OF BIO-KON :
BIO-KON degrades excess
feed and other organic waste material found in the pond bottom.
BIO-KON suppresses growth
of harmful bacteria by competitive exclusion processes.
BIO-KON reduces vibrio
count faster by producing vibrio static compound.
BIO-KON rapidly reduces
ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and hydrogen sulphide levels.

Application
Guidelines :
BIO-KON is a dry granular
product containing live dormant organism. Prior to application,
the microbes are to be activated as follows.
Mix the required quantity of BIO-KON
in water (around 50 lts of water) that is not contaminated.
Stir the mixture for every five minutes evenly for 30 min.
Do not let the mixture stand for more than 4 hrs.
Spread the mixture evenly over pond surface area.
BIO-NU
(Biological Media)
BIO-NU is a specially
formulated growth medium for
BIO-KON microorganisms
to multiply at an economical rate. It provides optimum
nutrients for the growth of BIO-KON
microorganisms. It contains basic Inorganic nutrients
with special organic carbon and growth stimulants.
Treatment
and suggestions
BIO-KON
treatment rate, when used in conjunction with BIO-NU
(1:1 ratio), depends on objective set. If a more powerful
treatment with a greater effective level of microorganisms
is desired, follow the full rate as given below.
Application of BIO-KON with BIO-NU
1. Fill the clean (without contamination) 50
liter water in open-headed container. Tap water preferred
but clean pond water may be used.
2. Add BIO-NU while stirring
until dissolved.
3. Add BIO-KON while stirring.
4. Agitate the mixture frequently, Use continuous gentle
mechanism otherwise stir frequently atleast
30-60 secs every 30-60 min once (OR) Bubble the oxygen or
air in to the mixture if available.
Treatment programmes:
Treatment programmes are based on the stocking densities,
biomass and the organic load in the pond.
Dosages in gms / Ha / 1 metre depth / weekly once
Storage and Handling:
Store indoors in a cool, dry place.
Store out of direct sunlight.
Store below 40 C.
Note :
Apply when water Exchange has been completed and when
residual effect of chemicals has been washed off.
Do not apply larger doses without aeration in pond.
Do not apply immediately after disinfectant has been
used.
